The unit provides a comprehensive tracking and panic facility, with the ability to integrate SCADA applications. AST will be providing a back-end server facility, with the following functionality:
- GPS position updates on a map (Microsoft Virtual Earth, or Google Maps)
- Complete asset history (viewed on a map, or in tabular form)
- Asset polling, to provide a “near real-time” update of GPS location
- Basic asset configuration/modification “over-the-air”
- Emergency message “pop-up”, activated when a user presses the panic button on the unit
- Geo-fencing capabilities
The service is fully configurable so those with an existing back-end may integrate the data directly into your own tracking solution. Tracking data can be transmitted by either GmPRS or SMS and is fully programmable directly from the handset. The following diagrams show some screen-shots of the AST back-end. |
